That renewal jump is significant — up to 2.5x the intro price. Our advice: if you commit to Hostinger, lock in the longest term you can afford.
Performance: The Numbers
We deployed a standard WordPress site with a starter theme, a few plugins, and sample content — a realistic setup for a small business site. Here is what our monitoring revealed over six months:
Average TTFB: 487ms (US), 312ms (EU) — solid for shared hosting.
Uptime: 99.95% over the monitoring period, with three brief outages totaling 4.2 hours.
Page load time: 1.8 seconds average with their built-in LiteSpeed cache enabled.
These numbers put Hostinger comfortably in the upper tier of budget hosts. The LiteSpeed web server makes a noticeable difference — sites feel snappy even on shared resources.
hPanel: The Custom Control Panel
Hostinger replaced cPanel with their own hPanel interface. The result is mixed. On the plus side, it is clean, fast, and logically organized. WordPress auto-installer works in under two minutes. DNS management, email setup, and SSL certificates are all straightforward.
The downside: if you are coming from cPanel, there is a learning curve. Some advanced features like cron job management and PHP version switching are buried in submenus. And there is no terminal access on shared plans.
